About
A friend once called Cameron moss girl and she’s never felt more seen, thank you very much. She has her humble beginnings in upstate New York where, legend has it, they pass the time by sticking their toes in mud and sucking on lemon grass. She likes to think people can see her upstate-ness lingering on her skin.
Training
Cameron received her B.F.A in Theatre (conc. Musical Theatre) from Long Island University Post, where she had the privilege of gaining a rich and physical acting training, which has allowed her to grow as an intentional, full-bodied, and versatile actor. Techniques studied include (but are not limited to): Stanislavski, Meisner, Suzuki, Maria Porter’s Physical Text Analysis Technique, Michael Chekhov. She has since continued her studies at T. Schreiber Studios in NYC. Fancy words aside, she aims to be a life-long learner, and life can oftentimes be the greatest teacher.
In addition to acting, Cameron is a singer, dancer, and all around a crafty gal.
Values
Cameron strongly believes that discipline can come from a place of joy and love for the craft. As a collaborator, she strives to create a welcoming, supportive space where artists feel empowered to unleash their creativity.
While she enjoys bringing a high level of commitment into each project she is involved in, everything always comes second to the humanity and wellbeing of the people in the room.
Inspiration
Some of my recent inspirations:
“My Octopus Teacher” documentary, Marina Abromovic, “Grapefruit” by Yoko Ono, Andy Goldsworthy, Celia Pym, Yebba
I believe strongly in the consumption of the simple joys and in practicing the mindset of a museum-goer in my everyday life (when I have the bandwidth). Feel free to take a look at my amateur exhibit! Maybe you will recognize something?
