Cameron Park-Miller
I have my humble beginnings in a small town in upstate NY—at a high school that played country music at prom, but in a community that preferred to listen to Cat Stevens and stick their toes in mud ;)
As an actor and as a person, I am always striving to go deeper into authenticity in my work. I have a passion for telling stories that challenge us to see ourselves and the world with new eyes. Currently, I am particularly interested in the concept of art as a mirror.
In the spring of 2022, I received my B.F.A in Musical Theatre from Long Island University Post. There, I had the privilege of gaining a rich background in physical acting training, which has allowed me to grow as an energized, bodied, and versatile actor.
As a collaborator and leader, I prioritize cultivating a space where artists feel energized, valued, and empowered to unleash their creativity. I aim to bring honest, infectious enthusiasm into every room I enter. I like to think of myself as a playful, exploratory artist, and I hope that these qualities help me create such a space for others.
I believe strongly in the consumption of the simple joys and in practicing the mindset of a museum-goer in my everyday life (when I have the bandwidth). Feel free to take a look at my amateur exhibit of simple joys! Maybe you will recognize something?
Here are some of my current inspirations:
William Wegman, Sarah Sze, Jacob Jonas The Company, John Cage, "Grapefruit" by Yoko Ono, Andy Goldsworthy, Auguste Rodin
